President Tinubu Receives Duke Of Edinburgh, Prince Edward In Abuja

President Bola Tinubu welcomed Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.

The Duke is visiting Nigeria to lead a series of events in Lagos from November 17 to 23, promoting the global growth of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

The award is a non-formal education program designed to help young people discover their purpose, develop their skills, and explore their passions.

The week-long events are expected to bring together nearly 200 young participants from over 50 countries, along with hundreds of award leaders, policymakers, and representatives from international youth organizations.

During the visit, the young attendees will take part in a three-day intensive youth leadership program, followed by the award’s triennial forum, which focuses on expanding access to the program worldwide.

Prince Edward was joined by Richard Montgomery, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, and other officials during his meeting with President Tinubu.

Among the Nigerian officials present was Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.
