Nigerian Tailor Breaks Guinness World Record With 106-Hour Sewing Marathon

Oluwaseun Kuforiji, a Nigerian tailor from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, has made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest sewing marathon.
From January 22 to 26, 2025, Oluwaseun Kuforiji worked tirelessly, sewing non-stop for 106 hours, 55 minutes, and 20 seconds—a feat that surpassed the previous record and cemented his place in history.
His achievement is a remarkable milestone in the fashion industry, showcasing dedication, skill, and endurance.
Excited about his success, Kuforiji took to Instagram to share the news and express his gratitude for the recognition.
“Officially a Guinness World Record Holder! 106 hours, 55 minutes, and 20 seconds of non-stop sewing—needle and thread in hand, passion in my heart! From crafting a full Agbada in the first six hours to completing 18 outfits, this journey has been nothing short of incredible,” he wrote.
